professionals. Sree Sowdambika College of Engineering established in 2000-2001 is an educational Institution promoted by
the philanthrophic “Chockalingapuram Devangar Varthagar Sangam”, founded in 1919 by our prophetic forefathers.
Understanding the need for higher education, the trust started Sri Sowdambika Polytechnic College in 1984-1985 and Sree
Sowdambika Convent Matriculation School in 1986-1987. Sree Sowdambika College of Engineering is one more gem in their
service to education.
The board of Management constituted by the Chockalingapuram Devangar Varthagar Sangam helps in the development of
the instituation with a missionary Zeal.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT
COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING
Computer Science and Engineering department retains devoted and dedicated
team of highly qualified and experienced staff members.
The Department is endowed with 3 well – equipped Computer Labs that provide the
facilities for the conduct of practical sessions and Projects.
The labs are equipped with the latest IBM Think Care desktops configured with high
speed Pentium IV processor and HCL – Dual Core processors at 2.7 GHZ.
These systems are networked under LAN to an IBM Server, powered by Intel Xeon processor.
The Department has signed MOU with IBM and MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network – Alliance) that helps the students to develop their Technical skills other than those contained in the recent trends in the Software field.
The CSE department has a fully equipped Internet Lab powered by Reliance Broadband of 512kbps that helps the students to develop their knowledge and market themselves in this competitive world.
The department library has more than 400 books for the benefit of faculty and students. Besides the curriculum, expert Guest lectures are also arranged frequently for soft skill development and for creating an awareness of recent technologies as and when they emerge
